A Disciple Making Family…

Discipleship

Every Nation Centurion is a disciple-making family motivated by honouring God.

1. ENGAGE – “where relationships are built”

Because people are valuable to God and therefore every believer is called to be a fisher of men, we intentionally, deliberately and strategically engage the culture and community building relationship with the aim to share the gospel of Christ with people who do not love and obey God.

“…..leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it…”

Luke 15:3-7

Engage 4 Steps:

  1. Pray and Ask - Ask God to lead you to, and send people to you – John 15:1-17
  2. Go and Look - Go to the harvest and look out for opportunities to engage and preach the Gospel – John 4:34-38
  3. Show and Tell - Show good deeds, mercy, love, care and wait for the opportune time to preach the Gospel – 1 Peter 2:12
  4. Invite and Connect - Invite them to or start a new Connect Group – Acts 2:41

2. ESTABLISH – “where foundations are laid”

Because every believer is called to be a disciple, we must first establish strong spiritual foundations with the aim to make them permanent in love and obedience to God before they can progress towards spiritual maturity,

“….everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice…. “

Matthew 7:24-27

3. EQUIP – “where disciples are equipped to minister”

Because every disciple is called to be a minister, we must equip all believers with the understanding and heart to be able to minister. God’s word is the ultimate equipping tool. Spiritual progress, not perfection, qualifies a person to minister. Every believer is called to minster.

“It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God’s people for works of service….”

Ephesians 4:11-13

4. EMPOWER – “where disciples are multiplied”

Because Jesus expects all disciples to make disciples, we must not only equip them, but also empower them with the tools, skills and practical training to be able to make and multiply disciples.

“And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others.”
